Excellent Advice for Newbies Starting Out in Internet Marketing
IT’S THE NATURE OF PEOPLE TO BE ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THE LAUNCH OF ANY NEW UNDERTAKING AT THE ONSET, AND THEN:
In the distant past I was the manager of a workout center. There was always a HUGE jump in business beginning at the 1st of the year. Initiatives were initiated by all those who made a resolution to be in shape by “this time next year”.
Of course you can guess what took place subsequently. By the first of February, fully 50% of those who started a program had already quit. By the start of March all but a a small number of of the New Years’ members were finding something else to do with their time. Out of the whole newbies group, only a couple would still be working out “this time next year”.
I see the same pattern with newbie Internet marketers. GUNG HO is their keyword at the first. But gradually and surely, their failure to make a whole hearted commitment thins them out.
OK, I’LL MAKE MY POINT.
It’s the nature of all humans to have an evil “lazy gene”…nearly everyone that is reading this. It’s a really simpler to get up, head off to work, come home to eat, play some games, and then continue the process ad infinitum.
That’s called a “RUT”.
What will you have to show for it by “this time next year”?
Of course you already know this answer.
Compelling, SUSTAINED ACTION: 1ST ORDER TO HAVING THE BENEFIT OF ACHIEVEMENT:
In one of Clement Stone’s books, he informs his readers about the principal requirement for achievement being the capability of taking sustained action. He points out that the rate of “taking action” is directly in proportion to one’s unhappiness with the current way things stand.
In other words, if you’d like a better life, you have to WANT IT badly enough to take action and go after it!
I was in that boat and I DID want it badly enough. I took the action and I’m reaping the rewards. I understand the level of energy needed to achieve success and change old patterns.
Now I want to provide you some assistance.
I want you to be able to look back “this time next year” with a proud sense of achievement for what you have achieved.
Here’s an email from a beginner asking the typical “how to get started in internet marketing” question. You can read it and my reply here:
