Guide to Farmville Animals
There are two main classifications of animals in farmville: Livestock which can be acquired at the Market for coins or Farmville cash, and Lost Animals which will show up on your farm once in a while . Animal crops don’t rot like plant crops which is just one advantage of animals. Animals will patiently wait for you to log in again and harvest it. They are quite simple to manage. Hence it is a unproblematic way of getting money.
Livestock
The livestock you can now get at the Market are quite limited. Pigs, white sheep and dairy cows are the current animal choices available at the Market. On special events and holidays, new animals will come out for a certain time. During the “Alien Invasion”, green cows called BOV1NE-09 (now titled Alien Cow) showed up in the Market for 2400 coins. They provide a crop named “milktonium” which sells for 18 coins. American Thanksgiving led to the release of the “Baby Turkey”- when harvested for the first time, it will change into full-grown Turkey. The feathers which can be harvested every 2 days from grown Turkey can be sold at 80 coins per harvest. Your friends can give you more interesting livestock as free gifts plus the regulars are available there as well.
The animals do not have similar harvest times. Several animals may be harvested once a day, others need 3 or even 4 days to “ripen”.
Lost Animals
Farmville has an exciting feature which needs you to keep an eye on Facebook status updates to see if your friends have discovered any “lost animals”. From time to time, lost animals will show up on your farm and ask for your help. The release of Wild Turkey is an example. To celebrate American Thanksgiving, the makers of Farmville released it as a new “lost animal”.
The following caption will be seen upon the appearance of the Wild Turkey on your farm:
(Your name) discovered this frightened bird in Farmville. This time of year is tough for her and her kind. Hopefully she can find comfort and safety on a friendly farm. ..
Here is a list of some of the other “lost animals” in Farmville:
*Ugly Duckling (transforms into a swan)
*Brown Cow (makes chocolate milk)
*Pink Cow (produces strawberry milk )
*Black Cat (produces yarn)
*Turtle (produces eggs)
*Black Sheep (makes chocolate wool )
*Regular cows also wander but they are obtainable through the Market and free items
You will not be able to adopt these lost animals. You can post a status update on your Facebook that you have found a lost animal. This is the ideal moment to use your other (if you have more than one) Facebook account!
Log out and afterwards place your the lost animal up for adoption. Log in on your other account and instantly adopt the lost animal or your friends may adopt it before you do! Regularly check your friends’ status updates so that you can adopt their lost animal.
If you’re gathering a lot of cows and/or chickens, consider buying a Dairy Barn or a Chicken Coop.
These buildings provide a suitable way to keep the animals, as well as harvesting them all at once. A Dairy Barn or a Chicken Coop can store 20 cows or chickens.
